DD Direct to shift to Insat-4B in June

DD Direct, Doordarshan's direct-to-home (DTH) service, plans to shift to the Indian satellite Insat-4B between 1-15 June.

Though DD’s contract with the five transponders on NSS 6 closes on 31 May, it has requested the Netherlands-based company to use the space on one transponder till 15 June. The broadcaster will have to pay Rs 37 million for the extended 15-day period.

"Prasar Bharati has indicated to us that DD Direct would move to Insat-4B in the period 1-15 June," says Indian Space Research Organisation contract management and legal services director SB Iyer.

Prasar Bharati pays NSS around Rs 225 million annually. The shift from the Netherlands-based NSS 6 will not only mean savings in foreign exchange but also clarity in picture since Insat-4B is better placed than the European satellite, Prasar Bharati CEO B S Lalli tells Indiantelevision.com.

Insat-4B is located in a geostationary orbit of 93.5 degrees East, which is closer to Indian than NSS 6 which is located at 95 degrees East.

ISRO has assured Prasar Bharati that it will not face any shortage of transponders. DD will initially be using five transponders but can ask for more whenever it needs them, says Lalli.

DD will be able to beam up to 10 channels from each transponder. It presently beams around 32 channels of which 26 are its own. But this number is expected to go up to 50 with private FTA channels becoming available.

Sun Direct, Kalanithi Maran's DTH service, has also booked Ku-band transponders on Insat-4B. The satellite has 12 Ku-band and as many C-band transponders for broadcasting and communication services.

"There is no requirement for more transponders from DD now. If they need more, we will make the necessary arrangement for them in a neighbouring location," says Iyer.

According to a DD engineer, further compression is possible using the MPEG 4 technology but DD prefers to use MPEG 2 and beam fewer channels from each transponder “for ensuring better quality.”

DD officials have held meetings with cable operators, hardware manufacturers and multi-system operators (MSOs) to familiarize them with the changes that will have to be made to reach out to 4.8 million viewers of DD Direct.

Doordarshan has circulated a four-page brochure to educate viewers and service providers about the changes to be made to their dish antennae and in the set top boxes. Though the service providers will make these changes, the engineer said this can be done even by the subscriber on his own.

DD’s DTH would be available across five transponders in the KU Band on Insat-4B, on the frequencies 10990, 11070, 11150, 11490 and 11570 MHz on vertical polarisation and a uniform symbol rate of 27500 ksps.

The engineer said each antenna has to be rotated (with the person standing behind the dish antenna) clockwise by 1.5 degrees to the right and tilted up by 1.5 degrees.

The brochure gives details of how subscribers can adjust the STB on their own, in case the services of a service provider are not available.

Toooooooooo much into Technology

Joke-A good One

Before the marriage:

He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.

She: Do you want me to leave?

He: NO! Don't even think about it.

She: Do you love me?

He: Of course!

She: Have you ever cheated on me?

He: NO! Why you even asking?

She: Will you kiss me?

He: Yes!

She: Will you hit me?

He: No way! I'm not such kind of person!

She: Can I trust you?

Now after the marriage you can read it from bottom to the top !!!!

Innovative Internet Marketing Strategies To Advertise Your Website, And Generate Tons Of Orders!

5 Innovative Internet Marketing Strategies To Advertise Your Website, And Generate Tons Of Orders!

There are two different groups of online marketers.

First group: those who are making lots of sales and piles
of cash daily.

Then the second group: those who are making nothing because
they are not getting any traffics to their websites.

To which group do you belong?

If your website is not generating any sales, stop being sad.

Here are 10 innovative ways to advertise it, and start
Generating massive sales!

1. Directory Linking
Create a directory of websites on a specific topic.
Give people the option of adding the directory to
their website by linking to it. Put your business
advertisement at the top of the director's home
page. This technique will get lots of people to link
to your website and give you free advertising.

2. Bonus Advertising
Do you have a product or service that doesn't sell
good? Offer it as a free bonus for someone else's
product or service. Get free advertising by placing
your website or business ad on the product or in
the product package.

3. Autoresponder Trade
Trade autoresponder ads with other businesses.
If both of you send out information with auto-
responders just exchange a small classified ad
to put at the bottom or top of each other's
autoresponder message.

4. Tip Line
Start a free tip line. Offer a free daily, weekly, or
monthly tip recorded on your voice mail. The tips
should be related to your business. Include your ad
for your website or business at the beginning or
end of your message.

5. Content Swap
Exchange content with other websites and ezines.
You could trade articles, top ten lists, etc. Both
parties could include a resource box at the end of
the content.

Warmly,

2 Secrets to Maximize Your Viral Marketing Efforts!!!!

2 Secrets to Maximize Your Viral Marketing Efforts

The goal of viral marketing is to spur activity and
communication among prospects and your customer base. Your
consumers propagate traffic to your site by the Internet's
version of word of mouth. Let's not also forget that the
traditional "word of mouth" viral marketing works just as well
to promote your online business. Effective viral marketing
involves time-tested marketing that requires your marketing
tools have a strong emotional attraction.

This strong emotional attraction is best accomplished by
employing two basic methods of sales. The first is providing
solution oriented materials to use as your marketing tools.
Basically, the potential consumer, no matter what your product
or service has the question, "What will it do for me? All viral
marketing materials should concentrate on providing positive
solutions or answers to this question.

The other sales method that is crucial in any viral marketing
campaign is the long-accepted fact that all purchases are made
first based on emotions. Next, the consumer rationalizes this
purchase with logic. Thus, the best viral marketing tools will
first concentrate on the emotional aspect of the sales
procedure.

To accomplish this you must paint the picture of the results or
solutions your products or services provides. You must be able
to have the potential customer engage in actually feeling the
benefits.

Visualization plays a very important part of the sales
process. Even if only words are used, such as a viral marketing
e-book, or e-zine, those words must paint the picture of the
desired results.

To best accomplish this you must research your target market
well. You must be able to identify which emotions are the major
parts of closing the sale. Some common emotions that frequently
evoke a purchase are: Fear, greed, vanity, lust, pride, envy,
and laziness. These are very important feelings and desires
often contributing to closing the sale. Your goal with the viral
marketing is to create a verbal picture that teases and evokes
the desires fueled by these emotions.

It is important to keep these two important aspects of closing a
sale spread throughout every piece of your viral marketing
materials. Don't quickly just slap something together and offer
it free through search engines, directories, e-mails,
newsletters or your site. Evaluate carefully to make sure your
material is solution oriented and taps two or more of the most
frequent emotions that evoke a sale. Without these two steps at
best your viral marketing efforts will get minimal results.

Celebrity Beauty Secrets!!

Celebrity Beauty Secrets

So you want to look like a star?

Who doesn't? It would be really nice to wake up and have
someone else worry about your hair and makeup.

Celebrities have "people" whose very jobs are to help famous
faces look their best.

Award-winning actresses, runway models, even pop stars all
depend on their looks.

Do advertisers want to feature close-ups of crow's feet?

Who wants to see cellulite on the big screen?

Teen idols should look young and fresh so their audience
will want to be like them. It's their job to look great.

Without a beautifully packaged look, they're out of work.
So work they do. They work at their beauty.

And so can you.

But, you don't have beauty professionals at your beck
and call...

Oh, but you do.

Just not the same ones the celebrities do.

You're worthy of a cast of beauty professionals, too.

You deserve it and it's not a luxury impossible
to afford.

Consider your beauty "people" and, if you choose
carefully, you will have professionals looking out for
you, keeping you up to date on the best products,
colors and techniques available for you.

How do you choose the right people?

Use only professionals whose overall look is something
you like.

If you're seeking a natural look, look for make-up and
hair stylists who successfully achieve that look.

If they can do it for themselves, they can teach you
the same techniques they're using.

If you want to appear polished and sophisticated, use a
stylist whose own personal style impresses you.

Department store makeup counter salespeople

Use them. You don't need to buy any of their products,
unless you want to. But what they can teach you at
no cost is something you should really take advantage of.

They're trained in proper technique and are up on the
latest trends.

Independent beauty consultants

That neighbor leaving catalogs in your mailbox is a
good source of ideas. Invite her over and let her
give you a makeover. Again, you're not obligated to
purchase anything unless you really want it.

Hairdressers

Hairstyles change with the times, so should your
stylist. If she's not attending stylists'

conventions
or changing her own hairstyle, she's not as professional
as you deserve.

So, now you have your people.

What do stars do when they're at home being people,
not stars?

Beauty Sleep

It's not a myth. Get yours.

No caffeine...
...or limited caffeine if you must. It causes premature
aging, and who needs that?

Shimmer creams and bronzers...
...help stars shine.

Eat Fish...
...like sardines and salmon. They're full of essential
oils that actually nourish your skin.

No smoking
Not only is it bad for your health, it causes lines
and dullness in your skin.

Your skin care regime
It doesn't have to be expensive. Your products can
come from the local drug store. Everyone benefits
from a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer.

Always, always, always remove makeup at the end of
the day. Two more minutes of sleep is not worth a
blemished face in the morning.
Quick fixes from famous faces.

*Coffee grounds can be recycled and used as a
cellulite scrub.

*Castor oil, used by a certain British
raven- haired actress/spokesperson/ beauty,
creates star quality shine for hair.

*Cinnamon oil (check your health food or
vitamin store) rubbed on the lips creates pouty,
kissable lips.

*Soak your nails in olive oil, as does a Hollywood
Pretty Woman.

*A combination of milk and water mixed in equal
parts, spritzed on the face throughout the day
is all the rage with many silver screen beauties.

*Legally Blonde hair is baby soft and shiny thanks
to baby shampoo.

Glow like a star. You deserve to look your best.
Treat yourself to a day of beauty - at home or at
the salon. Live the life of a star, without being
chased by paparazzi.

10 Tips to Help You Ace the Interview and Get the Job!!

10 Tips to Help You Ace the Interview and Get the Job

The interview is the "beauty contest" part of the job search process. Interviewers get to compare candidates by asking them similar questions and comparing the answers. Being just the right person for the job won't help you if you blow the interview.

Here are ten tips to help you come out of the interview with a job offer.

1. Show responsibility by arriving on time.

Nothing sets you off on the wrong foot more than arriving late for an interview. No matter what reason you have, it won't completely erase the impression that you are disorganized and irresponsible.

2. Show confidence through a strong handshake, a pleasant expression and an upbeat manner.

Although you may not feel particularly confident, it's important to look as if you are. Perception is everything when creating a good impression. Weak handshakes are a turnoff, so practice to make sure yours is strong. Sometimes we think we are smiling when we are not, so look in a mirror, smile and remember how your face feels when you are smiling. If you smile, extend your hand confidently and introduce yourself with energy, the interviewer will want to get to know you.

3. Show initiative by researching the company in advance.

Even small organizations have websites, so there's really no excuse for not knowing some basic information about the company before the interview. If you ask questions that could clearly have been answered through half-an-hour of browsing, you'll come off as someone with no initiative or common sense.

4. Show your priorities by focusing on the job before asking about benefits and perks.

When it's your turn to ask questions, focus on aspects of the job and the company and even the department. There will be plenty of time to discuss benefits when you and the interviewer have agreed that you are a good candidate for the job. Asking about perks, benefits and even salary too early in the conversation marks you as too to be a team player.

5. Show composure under pressure by asking well thought-out, meaningful questions.

When you browse the company's website, think of what else you would like to know. What questions does the website bring up for you? Use your knowledge to ask meaningful questions, and practice in advance because it's important not to stumble over the words. And, most importantly, listen to the answers.

6.Show your business savvy by connecting your own experience to the specific needs of the job.

Your resume tells the interviewer about your background and experience. In the interview, you need to express how this experience will help you do well in this particular job. This is particularly important if you are young, just entering the workforce and don't have much job experience. If, however, you have run a youth group, that may have sharpened your leadership skills. If you published the campus newspaper, you will certainly have communication skills. Talk about how these skills make you right for the job.

7. Show respect by never badmouthing former employers or colleagues.

There is no exception to this rule, and breaking it will virtually always takes you right out of the running for any job.

8. Show energy through your body language and tone of voice.

Sit up straight in the chair, lean forward slightly to listen as the interviewer speaks. Nod and smile appropriately to show you understand. Inject enthusiasm into everything you say. Nobody wants to hire someone who sounds bored with the job before he or she has even got it!

9. Show sophistication by dressing appropriately.

Even if it's Friday, interviews are not casual! Even if the workplace you want to enter is known to be casual, always dress slightly more formally for the interview. Pay special attention to grooming—scuffed, unpolished shoes can send the silent message that you are careless in your appearance, and the interviewer might assume you will be careless in other ways too.

10. Show you want the job (if you do!) by asking for it.

This sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed how often people forget about it. Remember the interview is also an opportunity for you to decide if you want to work for this company. If you do, don't hesitate to say so.

7 Ways to Rediscover Your True Passion After Divorce

7 Ways to Rediscover Your True Passion After Divorce

Going through a divorce is a very challenging time in a person's life. It is hard to adjust to being single again, as well as living "out of the habit" of being married, especially if you have been married for many, many years.

Eventually, you begin to think about dating, but it is suggested that you take your time. Use this precious opportunity to rediscover yourself. Think of this time in your life as an adventure to explore the real you. If you have worked outside the home combined with being a mom and wife for the last ten, fifteen or twenty years, you may have lost yourself along the way. Certainly not on purpose, but as most women try to do it all as "super" moms, many times we put our own wants and needs on hold to keep our families and jobs running smoothly!

Take a deep breath and let's start to rediscover our true passions and say... Will the Real Me Please Stand Up!

1) Treasure Your Gifts Within

Realizing we are all born as "gold nuggets" is a hard concept for many women to believe about themselves. Think about how magnificent you really are! Over time, you might have forgotten your unique gifts and are only thinking of what you don't like about yourself or your life. Set a new intention, starting today, to list all of your great qualities and read that list everyday. Keep reading it until you believe it. Examples: beautiful smile, kindness, generosity, loving, caring, intelligent. keep going. Your list is endless, when you start focusing on your great qualities. Allow yourself to see the shining gold within. It's already there!

2) Give Yourself A Break

During and after a divorce it is common to have the feeling of grieving, similar to that of the loss of someone. Many women feel the need to stay busy to keep their minds off of this stressful time, such as working overtime or cleaning the house from top to bottom, but let this time also include pampering yourself. For example, barter with a friend or neighbor to watch your children or leave work early to give yourself this needed time. Yes, you do deserve to do something special for yourself. It can be as simple as taking a bath or a walk, going to the mall or reading a book with your favorite cup of tea. Give yourself permission - it's O.K. Remember, the happier you are, the happier your family will be!

3) No regrets! No bitterness!

Holding onto regrets and bitterness will only keep your life from moving forward. Is your inner voice working overtime with all the "what if's" and "if only's"? This is normal for a period of time, but ask yourself... are these thoughts serving me or helping me feel better? Will thinking about them over and over again change anything? To move your life forward, it is important to acknowledge your feelings and to learn from your past experiences to prepare yourself for the next exciting chapter of your life. Yes, there is life after divorce. Learn to let it go! Just, let it go! A quote from Buddy Hackett, "I never hold a grudge because while I am being angry, the other person is out dancing."

4) Enjoy the Little Things

Life after divorce usually means added responsibilities. If you are a single parent or are now the one responsible for the once shared to-do list, how do you handle it all without being totally stressed out? To start, learn to laugh more, especially at yourself. Learn to let things go and not take life so seriously. Lighten-up! Learn to live in the present moment. Living in the present is where all the "good stuff" in life happens. Yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow's worries are tomorrow. Think of it this way, when one is missing this moment in time, one is missing out on one's life.

So how do we live in the present? If you are feeling stressed, immediately leave your thoughts in your head and take off your blinders. (Blinders similar to what a horse would wear, not allowing it to see from side to side). Start to look around you. I mean really look around you. Look closely at everything. Really focus. Use all your senses! For example, if you are with your children observe them. Cherish their smiles. Give them a hug. See the true beauty of who they are and appreciate them for being a part of your life. You will start to feel your stress subside and a feeling of peace sweep over you. To be present, no matter where you are, use all your senses to pull you back into the moment. Take time to appreciate all the beauty that already exists around you. You only have to be present to see it!

5) What Makes Your Heart Sing?

What really matters to you? What do you feel is your true purpose in life? If someone asked you that question, how would you answer them?

Why is it so important to be clear on what your life's purpose is? Knowing your purpose, will give you a true sense of who you are and why you were put on this earth. It gives your life direction and helps you make clear and easy decisions concerning that direction. It's your compass! Without a purpose, can your life be compared to a piece of driftwood? Floating endlessly in whichever direction the tide decides to take it and ending up on any beach with no will of its' own. When you live your life based on your purpose you are living in integrity with yourself and are in alignment of who you really are in all aspects of your life - body, mind and spirit. Take this time to focus on what really matters to you. Feel the true passions that exist in your heart and write them down.

6) What Are Your Vibes Saying About You?

Are you familiar with the Law of Attraction? Maybe you have heard the expressions, "What you think about, you bring about" or "The more attention you give to something, the more attention it will give to you." When going through a divorce, your emotions can be compared to a roller coaster ride. Use this time to become reconnected to your inner awareness of who you are. Recognize if your feelings are low energy or high energy.

A few examples of low energy are stress, negativity, fear, resentment, or a sense of lack (lack of time or money) and high energy is joy, abundance, happy, positive, love or compassion. If you are having feelings of low energy, how do you make a shift to feel more of the high energy?

First, acknowledge and accept the feelings you are having. Be gentle with yourself! Your goal is to make a shift, but realize you might not be able to go from low to high instantly. Start with baby steps! Repeat step number three and become present! Be thankful for what is working in your life right now. Do something simple like pat your pet, smell a flower or, if you are in the office, take a minute to think of a previous fun time or experience you have had that could bring a smile to your face. Feel the shift you are starting to make in your energy.

Now, to amp up this high-energy feeling, think of another time of joy or something you were passionate about in your life. Keep adding these thoughts to your high-energy feeling and begin to feel great! Does it seem the people or situations around you have changed or is it you who has really changed? So, who has the power to feel their own joy? When you are feeling your high energy, this is the time to take your next inspired action. Enjoy the feeling of accomplishing something with ease and less effort!

7) Be True To Yourself

During and even after a divorce, we are often filled with doubts. We question ourselves about what is right, what to do or how we feel. Should I or shouldn't I? It seems difficult to make a decision. Listen to your heart. What feels right? What doesn't feel quite right? If a situation does not feel right, honor your resistance by pausing or waiting. Sometimes waiting is the best thing to do. By waiting you may have allowed the situation to unfold more easily without having to worry! If a decision feels good or right, usually that means you are heading in the right direction. When we listen to our hearts, we are in integrity with ourselves. When we are in integrity with ourselves, we learn to say NO more easily.

Has this ever happened to you? You are asked to be on a committee or to volunteer for something and you say yes, even though you know it will make your schedule even tighter or you really don't want to or have to?

How do you stop this from happening? Next time you are in this situation and you are ready to say yes, yet, find yourself having doubts, try this . STOP! Take a breath or even take a step back (this action will prevent you from saying yes). Pause! Thank the person for thinking of you, but let them know you will have to check your calendar and get back to them. When you do have time to think about it, focus on how you are feeling. Are you excited to volunteer or do you feel some resistance? If in a day or two you are still feeling doubtful, realize the timing might not be right for you. If you are still excited, join the committee and have fun!

Divorce is not easy or fun, but you can make it through this time of your life by realizing you WILL make it! Also, honor yourself and listen to your heart! Your true purpose and passions are waiting to be rediscovered within you! When you have discovered the "gold nugget" you already are, you will start to live your life with more ease and enjoy the feeling of peace. "You are truly free!"

What I’m about to reveal to you will forever change the way you look and

Did you know that what you’re eating could be making your body toxic?
I mean so toxic to point that your body is unable to metabolize food.
These little critters, called parasites, feed off of foods that have sugar and
yeast. This is what causes people to eat junk food around the clock and
never feel satisfied. Therefore, it is vital that you detoxify the body
before starting any weight loss program.

I know it’s hard, but it’s very important that you reduce your intake of
sugar. So instead of sodas, drink water. Some will say, “Well what
about sugar free, drinks?” The ingredient in diet sodas called, Aspartame
can increase your risk of brain cancer. Drink 1 cup of Tropicana,
Grovestand orange juice in the morning, then drink water throughout
the day.

It’s also important that you have a good source of multivitamins, minerals,
and antioxidants. Consume these daily to prevent micronutrient
deficiencies.

After you detoxify the body, take all of those vitamins, minerals, and
antioxidants, and change your

diet; you should have enough energy to

7 Beauty Tips for Looking Younger!!

7 Beauty Tips for Looking Younger

Ever since Eve took that first bite of the apple, the human race has been obessed with beauty.

The truth is we begin the aging process just as soon as we pop out of the womb. Every day of our lives our bodies slough off and regenerate new cells. The speed at which that process takes place when we are children is vastly different as we get older.

Every day you are bombarded daily with commercial messages and beauty tips that attempt to lure you into believing that the most recent miracle drug is just what you need to fight off the ravages of Mother Nature.

We are living longer as a whole. Singularly, that can be a curse or a blessing, depending on your perspective.
The best route to natural beauty and healthy skin is to take care of what you have. Sounds simple, doesn't it? The truth is that your skin takes a beating from the environment every single day. Here are some of our favorite beauty tips for keeping your skin fresh and healthy:

1: Stay hydrated and do it with plenty of water! That does not mean soda, caffeine or any other type of liquid, even if it is low cal. Soda (even diet soda) has a high concentration of sodium. Sodium retains fluids. You need fluid that will hydrate and flush your body free of toxins. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses a day!

2: Protect your skin from harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. We all love the sun. We love being in it and we love having a beautiful tan. The truth is you can poison yourself with too much sunshine. UV rays cause skin cancer and if that isn't bad enough it causes your skin to age faster than it should, contributing to unsightly wrinkles. If you must play in the sun, make certain you are using an adequate sun screen. Don't leave home without it!

3: Keep your skin clean. Use a soft warm cloth. Skin does not require scrubbing. You will do more harm than good if you do.

4: The best cure for wrinkles is to never have them in the first place! If you are like most of us, you didn't listen to your Mom when she tried to tell you to stay in the shade, stand up straight and stop squinting!

5: Eat healthy. Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, weight gain, illness and an overall lethargy.

Weight gain causes your skin to stretch. As you get older, it loses it's elasticity and you're left with sagging skin.
The best solution to this is to maintain a proper weight.

A rule of thumb for eating habits are...don't eat more

calories than you consume. Don't go one single day without doing something extra and physical for at least 30 minutes per day. This can be three ten minute walks. Or 30 minutes of vigorous aerobics, or 12 minutes of weight lifting and 18 minutes of walking.

6: Don't worry, be happy. A happy outlook appears to trigger the release of endorphins. Endorphins relax the cardiovascular system and cytokines which alert the immune system to pay attention in detecting abnormalities like cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself. If you have put yourself down since childhood, over a lifetime, negative subliminal messages can take their toll by turning you into a pessimist. Spend one week writing down the phrases you use in your "self talk." Chances are you will find that you repeat a dozen or so phrases over and over again that reinforce that negative image. If you know about them, you can change them. Outer beauty and inner joy go hand in hand.

Here are a few quick tips for increasing joy, hope and optimism that will work no matter what your age:

Make a list of at least 50 great things that happen to you every day.

Laugh a lot. You'll heal your body and your mind.

Discover a new challenge each month.

Try meditating for just five minutes each day.

7: Sex After 50 - Ha! How many of you jumped ahead to this section?

The importance of physical intimacy actually depends on the couple. An alarming number of men used to give up on sex after 60 and many women used to feel that their sex life ended with menopause. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

Sex at middle age can actually become better and more satisfying than ever before. Maturity gives a couple more experience in lovemaking. The children are usually grown and left home. The pressures of building a career and day to day life are usually less stressful than in younger years.

Is beauty really skin deep?

The answer is yes and no. It's a paradox, isn't it? True beauty begins from the inside out. Don't you wish there was some way to "wriggle your nose" and regain that soft skin you had as a child? Well, until someone comes up with the true "Fountain of Youth" we are stuck with what we have.

Just remember that getting older doesn't have to mean getting old.

6 Steps to Clear, Acne-Free Skin

6 Steps to Clear, Acne-Free Skin

6 Steps to Clear, Acne-Free Skin

Hundreds of medications, treatments, cleansers and cosmetics are available for people with acne, but the most important elements of an acne-fighting program won’t cost you a cent.

1. Nourish your skin by eating a healthy and balanced diet.

Most health care specialists agree that a healthy diet will benefit your skin. Cut down on caffeine, sugar and refined carbohydrates, all of which can activate the hormones that tell your sebaceous glands to produce more oil. Add more fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, juices and other healthy treats to your daily diet, and you’ll see in improvement in your skin.

2. Drink lots of water to maintain the skin's elasticity.

Plenty of water is essential to the health of your skin. One of the main activities of the body’s self-healing system is to filter the blood, a job performed mostly by the kidneys, with help from the skin in the form of perspiration. This self-healing system removes the toxic wastes of metabolizing food and of other harmful substances that get into our bodies one way or another.

This purification system operates efficiently only if the volume of water flowing through it is sufficient to carry away the wastes. 6 to 8 glasses (64 fluid ounces) of water a day is the recommendation. To reach your quota, carry bottled water with you in your car, your purse, your briefcase—wherever you go.

Get the water habit, and your skin will thank you for it.

3. Exercise regularly for good circulation.

Get into a regular routine of exercise. Do it for at least half an hour, five days a week. Exercise improves your blood circulation, helping your body clear toxins from your system, including your skin. Better circulation also increases the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your skin. Exercise also relieves stress, which is a common cause of acne flare-ups. Last but not least, exercise releases endorphins, the "feel good" substance in your brain that puts a smile on your face—the best beauty secret of all.

4. Cleanse your face—then tone,

moisturize, and exfoliate.

At night
* First remove your makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and a cotton ball.
* Then wash your face with lukewarm water and an oil-free, non-comedogenic (doesn’t block pores) cleanser.
* Pat (don’t rub) it dry with a soft towel.
* And apply an oil-free moisturizer.

In the morning
* Wash your face as directed above, then use an alcohol-free toner.
* Next apply moisturizer.
* Then apply makeup—all oil-free and non-comedogenic.

Once or twice a week use an exfoliator with alpha hydroxy acid or glycolic acid. This will aid in the shedding of dead skin cells, the “food” for the bacteria that cause pimples.

If you exercise during the day, you’ll need to wash your face a third time, immediately afterward.

5. Protect your skin from the sun and harsh weather.

One popular myth about acne is that tanning will clear it. It may seem so at first, but soon you will notice that your tanned skin becomes less pliable, making it less able to shed oil and dead skin cells, which clog your pores. Your acne will become worse, not better.

Always wear sun block with at least an SPF-15 UVA & UVB rating. If you’ll be outside in the sun for long, wear a wide-brimmed hat.

6. Get plenty of good-quality rest.

Your immune system requires energy to do its work, including the work of protecting your skin from acne. The deep sleep the brain needs for “recharging” comes several hours into the sleep cycle. That’s why a few hours here and there won’t do. Most people need at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Consider it beauty sleep.

If you make these 6 items part of your daily routine, you’ll look better, feel better, and have less need of expensive acne treatments and cosmetics.

5 Steps To Healthy, Beautiful Long Hair

5 Steps To Healthy, Beautiful Long Hair

It is great to receive compliments for beautiful and healthy hair even though it may need a bit of care. The five steps that you should take to maintain the beauty of your hair are as follows:

The first step dealing with hair maintenance is to handle it with care. Some people comb in an unruly manner that may damage the hair surface or can even break it from the root. It is often damaged because of negligence and carelessness. You should detangle the hair first with fingers and then with wide-tooth comb to cause minimum damage to the hair. Further, you should replace things like metal barrettes and rough elastics with hair sticks and plastic clips.

Properly maintain your long hair and do not let your hairstylist shorten it against your will. Some stylists are habituated to cut the hair short, without any reason. Be on your guard and do not allow him to exercise his will.

Long hair needs special attention over its maintenance, as it is more porous and older. You should use gentle shampoo

over it and avoid excessive use of conditioner, as it may hinder adequate cleansing. Deep protein treatment and use of moisturizers is good for long hair.

A healthy body ensures healthy hair growth. If you pay proper attention to a healthy diet and regular exercise, you are sure to have a beautiful and healthy hair as well.

Long hair adds to your look by offering myriad hairstyles that you cannot enjoy otherwise. Learn to carry it well. Further, you should carefully figure out damaged hair and trim it to have a purely healthy hair. Excessive use of blow-drier can mar the beauty of your long lustrous hair. Besides, chlorine and saltwater may damage it. Thus, a few helpful hair care tips aid to keep your hair long and beautiful.

3 Easy Tips to Keep Your Skin Healthy

3 Easy Tips to Keep Your Skin Healthy

There are plenty of articles out there about what to do to make your skin look young again. But what if you still have it? How do young women keep their skin looking the way it is now well into the future? The following five easy tips can help you keep your youthful glow.

1. Use Sunscreen, Never Tan. It's hard for young women to resist the warm glow that a few hours of tanning can bring. But the damage that it does beneath the surface accumulates over time--ultimately leaving the skin dull and thin. By the time premature aging becomes evident, significant amounts of damage has taken place below the surface. Rather than a week of beauty, think of long-term beauty. If you really want to give your skin an added glow, try shimmering lotions and makeups. Or, for a darker look, try artificial tanners (but be careful, they can sometimes leave you looking more orange than tan). Don't forget that you can experience the damaging effects of the sun even if you aren't deliberately trying to tan. Make applying sunscreen part of your daily routine. Purchasing moisturizers with sunscreen already in them can help. Remember, only 15 minutes of sun exposure each day provides you with the vitamin D you need to stay healthy.

2. Eat the Right Foods. You've always heard the phrase "You are what you eat" and that is exactly right when talking about your skin! What you eat is not just relevant to your weight. It also affects the health of your skin. Clinical studies have shown that eating diets rich in fatty acids and antioxidants can help skin retain its youthful appearance. Foods good for your skin include fish, vegetables, whole grains and fruits including all kinds of berries. Antioxidants in the diet may help reduce the appearance of age spots. Fatty acids are one of the components of metabolic processes within the body that are also integral to the maintenance of healthy skin. Making these foods a part of your daily diet can benefit you for years to come.

3. Clean and Moisturize! Don't neglect your skin. For normal skin, a gentle daily cleanser is all you need. Using a washcloth needlessly pulls and tears at the skin. Cleanse your skin with your fingers using gentle, circular motions, paying particular attention not to stretch the delicate eye area. Moisturizing the skin is also important to protect it from the effects of the elements including wind, pollution, and sun (if it is a sunscreen moisturizure).

Not only does it protect the skin from the outside, but also helps it to retain its natural moisture from the inside. Keep in mind that spending a lot of money is not necessary. If your skin is oily or you have a problem with acne, use products designed specifically for your skin type. You may want to consult a dermatologist to seek prescription treatments. Never attempt to pop your pimples. This will increase the size of your pores and possibly cause scaring.

Essentially, if your skin is young, value it! Taking simple precautionary steps can help keep it that way. Think of the benefits of having healthy skin in the future. Use sunscreen, eat healthy, and following a daily skin regimine. You don't need alot of money to keep your skin healthy. All it takes is common sense and good lifestyles choices.

India A is agree for tour of Kenya

Cricket Kenya has confirmed that India A will tour Kenya in late July or early August to play two four-day matches as well as taking part in a one-day series which will involve at least one other country's A team.
The deal was brokered by Samir Inamdar, CK's chairman, while he was in India attending the Afro-Asia Cup. Indian board officials told him that they were keen to attract another side to ensure there was a high level of competition.
Sri Lanka have expressed an interest in visiting in August on their way home from England, although Pakistan have declined, explaining that their players have too many commitments. South Africa A are scheduled to tour Zimbabwe which rules both of those sides out, although India had indicated they were keen to have Zimbabwe take part.
Inamdar told Cricinfo that he had also written to the West Indies board suggesting that if their A team does go ahead with their tour of Zimbabwe then they might consider stopping in Kenya on their way home. If, however, the tour is cancelled, then he has still offered to host West Indies outright.

Indian tour Of ENGLAND AND IRELAND

The Indian team have left Mumbai on Tuesday night for its 3 month tour of Ireland and England, their first real test since the first-round exit from the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. The tour, which includes 12 ODIs against four countries on either side of three Tests against England, takes place without several familiar names and with a relatively inexperienced bowling attack.

India's last tour of England, under Sourav Ganguly in 2002, saw them drawing the Test series 1-1 and winning the one-day series. That success was built on the excellent form of the big three batsmen - Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Ganguly - and, in the pre-tour press conference today, Dravid stressed that the key to a good showing on this tour lay with the experienced batting line-up.

In the absence of Virender Sehwag, dropped from both Test and ODI, India have a new opening combination in Wasim Jaffer and Dinesh Karthik which adds to the responsibility of the middle-order. "We have experience in the batting department, I am sure that is going to fire," Dravid said. "If we play to our true potential, I think we can have a very good series. We have to try and play good cricket and maintain the performance right through the tour."
The fast-bowling attack, however, does not share the same experience. Ishant Sharma has played just one Test, in Bangladesh, Ranadeb Bose has played none and S Sreesanth and RP Singh have 12 Tests between them. Dravid said Zaheer Khan, the most-experienced fast bowler with 47 Tests, had "a big role to play having played county cricket in England". In the spin department, India dropped Harbhajan Singh from both the Test and ODI squads and picked the 18-year-old Piyush Chawla for the ODIs and Ramesh Powar to back up Anil Kumble in the Tests.

Given the inexperience of the attack, the experience and guidance of Ventakesh Prasad, the bowling coach, could make a sizeable difference. "He has a lot of experience and has been working hard with the youngsters," said Dravid. "He has a big role to play on the tour."
The team will be traveling without a coach or an administrative or media manager. Instead, after the fiasco of Graham Ford's refusal to take up the coaching job, the BCCI chose to appoint Chandu Borde, a former Indian captain, as the cricket manager for this tour. Dravid sought to play down the absence of a regular coach and stressed that Borde would play a vital role on the tour. "Borde will be part of the team management... he will take part in strategies and meetings. He has so much knowledge and experience. In the earlier part of the tour, he will get to know the players and how the team works and get more comfortable with everyone."
Borde described the tour as a challenge and said he was used to handling such situations. He didn't join the conditioning camp in Bangalore but said that he had been keeping tabs on the England team. "They have variety in their pace attack and also have a formidable line-up. The team that plays at home always does well. I have been watching them on TV. They are doing well against West Indies. The batting looks comfortable with [Kevin] Pietersen, [Alastair] Cook, [Paul] Collingwood in their ranks."

The Tests, though, are still a month away; India begin with a one-day international against Ireland on June 23, followed by three matches against South Africa and a match in Glasgow against Pakistan. The three-Test series against England will be followed by seven ODIs.

Mallika Sherawat asks big money for a small role

Mallika Sherawat seems to have become pricey ever since she signed her first Hollywood movie three months back.
While Mallika’s high-headedness is not something new, the sex kitten has been on a high pedestal since she Hollywood movie , to be directed by Bill Bannerman, who has worked as associate director under Clint Eastwood.
Having clinched such a big project, Mallika has been making quite unreasonable demands for her acting fee in Bollywood. She is reported to have charge a hefty sum for her rather marginal role in Himesh Reshammiya’s movie Aap Ka Suroor .But nothing comes close to the money she demanded from the makers of The Train for just a small cameo in the film.Director Hasnain Hyderabadwala had approached Mallika with the offer of just a one-scene appearance at the movie’s end. Mallika was not even required to shoot for an entire day. An hour’s shooting at the most would have been enough to shoot her scene with Emraan Hashmi. For this cameo appearance, Hyderabadwala had an offer of Rs 10 lakh for Mallika. But the busty babe gave the director a shock of his life by demanding Rs 1.25 crore.Hyderabadwala was stunned because even the collective payment to the movie’s three actors, Emraan Hashmi , Geeta Basra and Sayali Bhagat , doesn’t come anywhere close to the sum quoted by Mallika. And when producer Shyam Bajaj heard about Mallika’s demand, he had a hearty laugh. The cameo was eventually shot with another girl.
